I create one of one oil paintings only.
No prints, reproductions, or merchandise.
Each canvas exists as a singular artifact shaped by memory, ritual, and Southern Gothic inheritance. My practice is grounded in the belief that art should exist as a relic rather than a reproduction. Oil is my chosen medium because it carries time slowly, visibly, and with an emotional density that does not fade. It allows a painting to hold history within its surface.
I paint to examine the architecture of human experience: grief, devotion, identity, and the quiet that follows upheaval. My background in military service instilled discipline, structure, and respect for deliberate process. Graduate training strengthened my analytical and narrative instincts. Years working in music shaped my understanding of atmosphere, rhythm, and restraint. Each painting is composed with the same attention to pacing and tension as a piece of music.
Rooted in the Gulf South and informed by contrasting familial lineages, German and French intensity alongside English and Irish tenderness, my work balances warmth and shadow, noise and silence. Every painting is documented with full provenance and offered without duplication.
A painting is born once.
I honor that.
